The strongest idea here is that a trading process should reject bad opportunities before it tries to identify winners. A loss taken with all three gates satisfied is simply part of the system. A loss taken after quietly ignoring one gate is a process error. Reviewing the last 20 trades by skipped gate, rather than by profit alone, is a practical way to find where discipline is actually breaking down.
